Producing orchestral music with spicy drums and synth bass on external gear is my specialty. Almost all my music in my personal discography has been made on Windows 95, 2000 and NT 4.0 in conjunction with physical synthesizers. I hold all of my gear and music I make very close to me. It may be a largely unpopular method to produce music these days, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

18th May 2024 - Velázquez's Synth Version of Carmina Burana
I have produced music many years before I was comfortable enough including any of my work in a portfolio, but this is the first release under my public SoundCloud profile. The album was fully produced on Ableton with VSTs, so this was before I obtained my first external synthesizer.
Obtaining my first rackmount synthesizer

A couple of weeks later, my dreams of owning at least one rackmount synthesizer came true. My father gifted the Roland XV-5080 to me as he wanted me to make a few fairly simple instrumentals for his band. It then dawned on me that the synth has a SCSI input, and is able to read AKAI and Roland sample CDs. This meant, with a ZuluSCSI unit, the possibilities would be endless.
11th June 2024 - The Strachen Revelation
This is my first track whose instrumental was produced externally. The XV-5080 was THE only synth utilized to create the instrumental from scratch, alongside Peter Siedlaczek's Advanced Orchestra and Classical Choir series of sample CDs emulated on the ZuluSCSI chain. This is close to the same configuration as Keith and Matthew Strachen had in their studio at the time to produce the soundtrack for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. I was a huge fan of the series growing up as a child, and I had only recently at the time discovered the exact sample CDs used for the soundtrack which I had been finding for years. From that point on, I decided this is exactly how I will produce my music.
12th August 2024 - Ángel De Un Ala
After quite a long period had passed, I had to release something. Behind the scenes I had finished making a bunch of new music. This track's instrumental was produced with external gear but vocals were recorded and mixed on Ableton.
31st August 2024 - Los Favoritos De Velázquez
Then I had finally finished recording vocals on Ableton for this EP containing covers of some of the most well known songs from different sources. The instrumentals were still produced on the XV-5080, but was produced on Windows 2000 with an SF2 VST in addition. Nessun Dorma is one piece of work I am especially proud of.
Impulse buying new units

I bought three further units impulsively as I wanted more out of my configuration. For a long time I was especially after the Korg M1R, one of the classic synthesizers of the late 80s and early 90s, a quality reverb rack, and the mixer to bring it all together.
10th October 2024 - Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2
The first song with my at the time new configuration came about this day, greatly taking inspiration after The Cat Concerto episode of Tom and Jerry and Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble's own rendition of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2.
23rd October 2024 - William Tell Overture Finale
Before going abroad this month, I wanted to do my own cover of the finale of William Tell Overture. An adventurous sounding piece it has turned out to be!
24th November 2024 - Largo Al Factotum
This was a fun piece to work on, inspired by an acquaintance from an online community after finding myself singing "figaro" on a Discord voice chat and repeating me. When I sent him the final product via direct messages, I knew he would like it!
Kurzweil K2500R

For Christmas, I bought myself the Kurzweil K2500R with all expansions installed to complete the setup and occupy the rest of the units on my rackmount. It is the most expensive unit by far out of all. The unit was used in some soundtracks by the Strachens, so I believe it's an appropriate pick. It has also been used most notably in the soundtracks of the original Spyro and Bungie's Halo series.
10th February 2025 - La Donna è Mobile
I wanted to make this cover of La Donna è Mobile by Verdi to accompany my previous track when performing these two songs together for other when I have the chance to. The legendary Luciano Pavarotti was possibly most known for singing this numerous times in concert halls.
27th February 2025 - Cavalcada de Les Valquíries
The first track to be produced including the sounds of the Kurzweil K2500R. This was a pretty difficult one, so much that I truncated the sequence of my cover. Looking back now, the full piece should have really been covered. Oops.
8th May 2025 - Los Favoritos de Velázquez Vol. 2
The second EP of my favourites highlights some of the dance oriented music I used to listen to in my secondary school years, made as close my current style as possible. I remember these times far too well...
Akai Z4, Studio 128X, Furham Conditioner & Samson PL2402 Mixer

I bought the units listed in the title of this discography, yet again updating my configuration. The Akai Z4 was what I wanted the most out of anything else as of recent, with a whopping 512 MB of RAM. Loading individual sample configurations for each project on my Roland XV-5080 was becoming an inconvinience. I thought with the Akai Z4 I could only load one configuration for every project to make my time easier. I have an LP upcoming which was made with this current configuration I have, next I will need to record vocals.
